From everything that I have read, some flame angels nip at corals and some don't. I have one that bullies my yellow wrasse a little but ignores everyone else. mine will nip at Acan but seems to ignore the rest of my corals. i haven't seen him bother my ricordea.

I had a flame angel in a 120g and even then he was a bully to my clown fish and any fish near his size.

Personally, I would not get another.

In a small tank with your fish, my experience tells me that a flam would be a problem.

I have a flame angel that I added last to my 55g reef tank. It was a bit larger than my ocellaris clowns and the other inhabitants. It does bully the clowns once and a while and nips at some of my corals. Doesn't do any big damage with the corals or other fish, just picks here and there.

Depending on its size you may have it bully the other fish, but mainly your damsel and it will probably fight (seeing as territorial damsels are).

I have a frogspawn & it never goes near it, it picks on my hairy mushroom rock at times but nothing major at all.

I think in a tank that small there would be some issues with fish fighting. I've been told my many knowledgable LFS owners and employees that flames should be in at least 50 gallons. They are extremely active and can get aggressive in smaller tanks.

+1 on what drew & KC said, I didn't realize it was a 34g. Not enough space for them to live peacfully IMO also.

I have had F/A many times and of all the Pygmy angels they are the most noted for coral nipping , And of all the ones I have had I have had just one to pose a problem with any of my corals be they softs Lps or sps . The tank size would be of little concern to me either . 35 gal it a good size tank. And I have yet to ever have a fish to get overly large for the system it was living in. Liie the ones who scream a Tang in a 55 ?? they get huge tank is way to small , I have two tangs now both are over 12 to 14 yrs old the sail fin is about 3 maybe 4 " in diameter and the Hippo is maybe 5" long he is one of 200 I got back in 97 or so.. I don't think he will ever see 24" unless he lives another 100 yrs maybe ?
