I am acclimating right now a flame angel to my 46 gallon. I have 2 oscellaris, mandarin and a BiColor Blenny. I sm still afraid. I have a mixed reef tank with some soft corals, LPS, SPS and mushrooms, ricordia and zoas. Should I add him? Im worried He will nip and I wont be able to catch him

Just make sure keep him fed and he should be ok.

And keep an eye on him. Even if you get 'a good boy', he may change down the road a piece. Dwarf angels are known to do that occationally. I would still put one in my tank. I have a Coral Beauty and they run the same risk.

It's really hit or miss, as the others said, just keep an eye on him. It's a real beautiful fish. Good luck with him

Thank You to everyone! I put him in so far in just picks at the LR. My Blenny also picks at the LR as does the Mandarin. Must be some good tasting stuff. Any recommendation for food for the Angel? He will be the last fish as long as he does good
    Thanks,
    Adam

Let us know how it goes! I had one (for, unfortunately, a short time) and the only thing I can say is that mine didn't go for flake food. I want another, and yesterday almost stopped by "That Fish Place" in Lancaster, PA to get one. But, I restrained myself.

They need a varied diet. You can feed them algae on a clip or try the frozen combination veggie/meat squares. I do that with my CB as well. Also, I mix Formula one and Formula two together ITO flake food.

I tried a piece of flake last night but he was too new a fish. I will try again toght then onto frozen. Anyone recommend hanging a algae sheet in the tank for a little? Are they like tangs in their grazing?
