Flame angelfish?

    Im at the lfs looking at a realy nice flame angel, would he be ok in my reef tank with the softie corals

    Sometimes they are ok, sometimes they aren't. You have to decide if the risk is worth it for you!

    They are reef safe with caution
    many do great in reef tanks never bothering anything
    but some do develop coral pecking tendencies

    Mine started going after my corals after two months. I had to tear my tank apart to get it out. They will definately devour nephias nomatter what.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    My cherub angel was good for 2 years and then bamm, started on my favorite Crocea. Had to remove all the LR to get him, moved him to another tank and he eventually started in on my expensive firefish. Only fish that has ever made me cry.:-[

    I have had problems with them in the past. I would be thinking twice.

    It's a very pretty fish, but since you have corals, it may depend whether he eats or nips at your corals or not.

    Well took a chance and picked him up, so far the good thing is he put the damn damsel that my ex got that keeps picking on my blue hippo in its place

    Well so far so good hes ignoring the coral lol and if i ever manage to catch that damsel im going to make the worlds smallest filet of fish
