I had a Flame for about a year in my 55g reef and he picked but never hurt any of my LPS, Softies, Clams. He was the first to be curious when I added any new corals, but never damaged anything. I currently have a Potters angel and it also picks but doesn't cause any harm.

FYI, Damsels are very aggresive once they've staked their territorial claim (they get a bad rap as they're usually used to cycle a tank because they're cheap & then they terrorize any new additions), however, I'd be more concerned about the hippo. I had a small hippo in my 55g and it quickly outgrew the tank. As it became more cramped it became very aggresive towards the other fish. I would think about upgrading the tank or swapping it out for something that stays much smaller at adult size. It's pretty susceptible to ich and other disease if it gets stressed so it's best kept in systems 100g+. That's why all knowledgeable vendors have their minium tank requirements at that capacity.

Be sure you check their dietary needs. They can't survive more than a few months on just pellets and flakes. They need some sponge in their diet or they will just up and die one day even though they are fat. IME.

I feed the fishies to the corals... I do it like it's a silverside.

My CB was added back in april and was picking at some of my sps's for a little bit. I really thought of taking him back, but then he just suddenly stopped. I have not seen him nip at them in a long time and he seems to be happy with mysis, brine and cyclopeeze. I have the first stage of sponge (the gray ones that grow on the rock) in my tank, but I have never seen him pick at that either.
All angels are a gamble, really. But I think that the flame is more of a risk than the CB. I had a flame for a very short period of time and he did not make it past 2 weeks. It's a beautiful fish and I think it's worth the risk, as long as you're willing to take the tank apart to get him out if needed.

    Good luck with yours!
