Flame Wrasse or Girdled Wrasse

    i have never had a problem with a reef safe wrasse eating my shrimp. my tank is full of shrimp.

    That's what I wanted to hear! Hopefully the wrasse will still be available tomorrow when I drop by. ;D

    they are jumpers so keep that in mind, so consider a cover if you dont have one already.

    Looks like I'm a little late here, but FWIW:

    Either would be fine, in terms of difficulty. Neither has an advantage over the other.

    Things to consider with the Cirrhilabrus genus:

    Your tank MUST BE COVERED. I cannot stress this enough. Use 1/4" mesh or netting.
    You need to feed small amounts several times per day
    You must keep suitable tank-mates. ie - nothing on the aggressive side.

    wrasses are jumpers. any wrasse should be in a covered tank. anthias are jumpers. firefish are jumpers. its why my tank is covered when im not home or sleeping.

    my tank is a zeroedge and it ruins the look of the tank when the cover is on. also my one wrasse likes to play at the top of the water surface. he pops his head in and out of the water like a dolphin.
