Flasher Wrasse ID (BETTER PICTURES ADDED)

    My mom has a wrasse and is looking to get some others to go with it. Its a small flasher wrasse (2.5") and has the spike at the top (male) sorry the pictures suck, any help is appreciated.

    Oh boy, with those low quality pictures, it's very had to tell. A single filament does throw out some potentials however. Also, it looks as though the anal fin is (mostly) yellow?

    Based on the above, my guess: P. flavianalis (Yellow-fin Flasher).

    If you're looking to add more flashers, any males of different species would be your best bet. You could add females of the same species, but until we're certain what that is...

    what do you suggest would be other good wrasse tankmates for this little guy

    Really anything BUT something from the Pseudocheilinus genus.

    Another flasher or fairy should be fine.

    doesnt matter if male or female? i was looking for another wrasse to make it feel more at home because he has started to hide a lot, but I think that has to do with the angel we had to remove
