    I actually like the wavy look in the sand but I guess we all have our own preferences

    Yep, that's one of those personal preference things; However, as others have stated, once you get flow in there, along with critters crawling and digging and fish tunneling, the sand never stays the way you placed it. Depending on livestock, it never stops changing in some tanks. :)
