My lfs sells florida live rock and really nice looking pieces of what I believe to be lettuce coral? I Am pretty sure its dead coral skeleton sold as live rock. I have read a few post deeper in that florida rock may or not have high phosphates and have heard that from a few other people. Is there any thoughts or suggestions here? I have a few nice large pieces of the lettuce in my tank (which I inherited with the tank) and like the look of the deep wavy branches. The price is pretty good but as always I am apprehensive.

    1. The lettuce has bright green and white all over it and it is advertised as cycled. I also have this stuff in my tank now in smaller patches, does anyone know what form of algae this is, if it is at all? The green is very bright in color and the white seems to be more of a matt or encrusting in nature..

I tried to get a few shots of whats in the tank I have a crappy camera but It shows whats there... I am seeking information on this rock as well as I have read about phosphates in it and my levels when first tested maxed in the 8-10 ppm range but that is a different post. I have found very little info about the rock and it seems th get mixed views. I am wondering If I need to phase it out as I know I need more rock eventually. Or can I just buy more of this stuff as it is slightly cheaper, local, and full of growth already.?
