Is it a good idea to use a floss type filter media?
If so, where is the best place to use it? Pre or Post skimmer?

I'm thinking about transforming a 20gal into a sump/fuge and trying to plan out my compartments... Also, should i use glass for my baffles or plexi glass? The tank itself is glass...

A lot of people don't use filter floss. If you use it and don't clean it often enough, it will cause nitrate problems. However, if you clean it often, it's fine. You would want it in the first chamber of your sump.

You can use plexi or glass. If you go with plexi, remember that silicone doesn't stick to it so you have to use substantially more silicone.

Yeah, i might not use it all the time. But it does help take a bunch of gunk out so i'd like the option to if needed you know?

    So pre-Skimmer... ok.
