OK. I've had my tank running for a while now, but I need more room for corals and I've really been restricted on using all of my available space because of my powerheads. I've done a little diagram of my flow, which I think works like laminar flow for the most part despite my efforts to keep it from behaving as such. Unfortunately I can't depict this in three dimensions so I'm asking you brainiacs that I know frequent this forum to ponder it for me for a moment.

The red arrows show approximately where I think my flow works at this time.

The green circle shows an area on a fairly large rock that I can't place any coral at all cuz it's getting freakin blasted by the koralia 4 on the right side. I think the left side might be ok for now until I add more base rock on that side.

The pink spots are, As you can see, on the front corners of my tank which are angled at about 45 degrees from the side/front or 135 degrees.. depending which way you're thinking about it. ANYWAY. I've been thinking about putting my powerheads (or at least the right one) on that pink spot, or maybe a little higher (because of that sarcophyton) and angling it towards the center of the tank...

If anyone out there in 3reef land is a "flow master" then please share some of your intellectual wealth with a "flow weakling"

The more and more I think about it, I think that two koralia 4's was probably just too much power. I should probably swap out the one on the right side for a koralia 3 or 2? I dunno... I'll let you gurus tell me what you think. Thanks in advance.

I don't think 2400gph of flow is too much for a 75g but potentially coming from 2 sources constantly it might be difficult to aim that much easily.

Have you tried putting them up maybe 3" from the water line and aiming them toward the front pane of glass, getting the water currents colliding will give you much more chaotic flow and keeping them higher will help keep the bulk of the flow from blasting one area of rock.

You could try trading a K4 for a K3 but you might find you get dead spots so maybe you could do 2 K3's or K2's along with your one K4.

I just ordered a K2 yesterday and I have a MJ 400 lying around so I'm just gonna toy with it. See what I can come up with. Thank you for the advice.
