got the ok and the deposit down today on my new tank, custom 30x30x21 cube. I've got 2 mp10wes already and 2 korallia 1050's, plus im going to be using a mag drive 1200 attached to a 3/4" seaswirl. This is going to be a sps heavy reef so High flow 60x and up is what I'm aiming for. I know the korallias will be good, but will the two mp10's be enough to handle a tank of that size, i use them on opposite ends of the tank now but will be using them both on the back for the new setup? I am worried the 30 inches is too much for them to handle and i Should be looking at mp40's? Moneys tight so avoiding purchasing new vortechs is first priority.

With the two mp10's and 1 of the Koralias you would have 54x turn over rate not including your return pump at all. I would think this would be fine.

O, and apparently the word is that all of the vortech are underrated. So they say one mp10 pushes around 1700 gph at the max but i saw a test showing actually near 2200gph. I figured your turnover with 1700 from each mp10

Thanks for your response I was pretty sure they could handle the gallonage no problem. It was the 30" reach they now have to push i was worried about. I think I am just getting paranoid and antsy waiting to have the new cube.

yeah you might fall a little short on the reach to the center of the 30" but you should be okay the hydors should be able to mix everything else up the mp10's miss.
