Flow rate v. turnover

    so then what is optimal turnover rate for your average tank? I understand that you are going to want it different levels if it is sps as apposed to soft corals.

    Good question. I am not sure but I would imagine higher flow would be good for SPS because it would blow away nutrients and toxins. However, they probably would need the PH's turned off while feeding.

    i totally agree, but what do think for a tank like mine. you how its a mix of different types of coral.

    Did you do the calculation? It always seems like there is plenty of flow in your tank. I think you just have to redirect it all differently so it spreads out better.
