I noticed that it looks like some of the tentacles(?) on my Flower Pot have breaks in the skin.
Is this normal, is it "shedding" or something? Or is it a problem?

Also, I just bought 2 new corals today, and placed the close by. Would this be a problem? I'm thinking they're both somewhat peaceful right? Or will they sting each other?

    Thanks a lot.

Seems to be doing well, growing.

    And here are the "holes"

And here's the 2 I'm wondering if are a problem so close.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Not sure about the goniopora, but the euphyllia is too close to the NPS. You should give them a wide birth of about 6 inches IMO.

Those aren't holes, those are flatworms. I can see a 3rd one a couple polyps up to the left. What coral dip did you use?

I'm still pretty new at this...
What do you mean by dip?

And is it bad that it's flatworms?
Anything I can do if it is?

There's lots of methods for dipping newly acquired corals to remove pests species so they don't get into your display tank

For instance, a lot of people do a freshwater and Lugol's solution dip to kill zoanthid eating nudibranchs.

For LPS corals, many people do a saltwater dip with Lugol's Solution or Coral Rx or Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure or Seachem Reef Dip, Salifert Flatworm Exit, yada, yada, yada

    SPS corals are dipped differently

If you do searches, you'll see many threads on Monti Eating Flatworms, Acro Eating Flatworms, Zoanthid Eating Flatworms, Acro Eating Red Bugs, Aceol Flatworms, Red Planaria Flatworms, and on and on and on.

To give you an idea, this afternoon I was at a really big frag swap and bought a bunch of corals. I dipped each of those frags using CoralRX prior to putting them into my coral QT tank. I will observe these corals closely for numerous weeks because some species are killed by the coral dip but their eggs are not. I might need to do repeated dips until all of the new hatchlings are killed.

    Yeah, I didn't "Dip"
All I did was drip it.

So is it too late to dip it, or can it be taken out and dripped still?

You can still take it out and dip it...it is not ideal but will kill what is on there. You will then want to dip it again in a couple days. Flatworms are very common unfortunately

I noticed the other coral you bought was a carnation coral. As you are new I want to make sure you are aware that those are non-photosynthetic corals, meaning they will not get any nutrition from light. They require frequent live phytoplankton feeding.....at least a couple times a week

    Yeah, thanks.
I have a bottle or 2 of "DT's" that I'm giving to the "Flower Pot" already.
I was just going to use that.

If you were me, would you try to get rid of the flatworms I guess. It's not something where you'd be like "Meeeeeeeeehhhh... let it be"
