Oiled based enamels are strong but take forever to cure.Do yourself a favor and get some Japan dryer if you plan on using it.;)

    Floydie,

Sorry to disappear in the middle of a conversation, but I just spent the last 6 nights in Key West and I made it a point to stay off of social media.

I guess I have a unjust bias against using plywood as load bearing vertical support, however if there is anyone on here who knows the particulars of structures and materials, well that would be you.

    The stand looks good!

Do you foresee the sides bowing in or out over time?

Whisky, no worries! Good job getting away from it all. No I don't foresee the sides bowing out. Doesn't seem like there would be a reason it would.

    Also here are some pics!

    Compared to my current setup...

Concrete countertop I made over the weekend.

The finish is pretty good! A little stain, may come out with time.

Nice, I have the Nuvo 16 siting on an Ikea Expedit 4x4 stand.

Found a small scratch on the front pane near the top of the glass :(...

So disappointing. Took me several days to find it. I'm being overly anal, its hard to see, less than a .25 in long, just sad. Doubt I did it as this was covered with the cardboard during shipment. Still, feels like the first dent in my new car! Nothing is perfect forever!

Stainless steel wrapping the stand this weekend! Hopefully plumbing over the next week!

Ya, I can imagine the disappointment. It could probably be buffed out, but that may distort the glass in that area a bit.
