Anyone here using a Fluidized Biofilter? If so, which one? What do you think?

Thanks Otty, What benefit do you find in using the filter? I am running a Tunze skimmer, and a phosphate reactor in sump. I am considering adding the fluidized filter as well.

You can pretty much run anything you want in these reactors. I run one as a sand filter, one has phosphate remover and the other one has carbon in it. I am not using a wet/dry so I wanted some way to get added bacteria in the tank. It seems to be working very well.

I ran one as the only means of filtration on a 100 gal sps tank for several yrs it was a god system.. I was between a rock in a hard place I had set this system up as a DSB and it was running O.K But about 2.5 yrs in I was seeing trouble to start and show its head .. I added this as a temporary thing so I could pull the stank sand from the system and still have a shot at keeping it running . It handled the thing just great took the stank sand out all my large issues went with the sand p.H stabilized and all was fine tank ran until last spring with the fluidized filter. All in all about 6 yrs with me and 3 more with my son. I liked them very much.
