Tap water is fine. GFO adsorbs contaminants very slowly so the effects of the tap water would be minimal if at all. GFO depends on time and multiple passes through the media to be effective in our application so one rinse with tap water won't even put a dent in it.

If I had the time and $, my tank would be in a lab grade facility. If you have the time rinse with rodi, otherwise tap if fine. Thats what I do and I have had no problems.

Does this mean to rinse out the gfo for reuse? I'm new to the Phosban reactor I installed.
