Well I decided to setup my old betta tank as a reef. I cleaned it out well and cleaned out the filter. I bought some new sand and added that in, I also used one large piece of LR from my fuge and filled it with old water from a water change. The tank didnt cycle and I have a zoa frag in there right now that is open and doing well IMO. I upgraded the lighting by adding an all blue Via Aqua 6in LED light and I plan to replace the halogens with some MR11 LEDS but havent got around to it yet. I will most likely stock it with just a fire shrimp and some more zoas/softies.
    Now for some pictures :)

Nice looking tank I have always wanted to set up an edge. you should look up some light mods for these thanks I have seen a lot of them. also you could look on nano-reef.com for some ideas.

Great tank. The edge is a fun little tank, I really enjoy it. Sure you will as well. Like the light mod, very simple and should work. Congrats :)

I'm curious about this one too. Doing something simple and inexpensive that works is always fun. Water flow would be my only concern about this one.

    Neat set-up.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Rick

Nice start! I have a Edge that I've been wanted to convert to SW, but havent gotten there yet.

You will want to upgrade those lights ASAP if you plan on having any sort of coral in there.

I would just get a Koralia Pico Evo, those things are tiny!
