I swapped over from a hang on back filter to a Fluval 305 in a 40 gallon tank. It has a bunch of tetras and a few dannios and angelfish.

What type of maintenance does a fluval need? How often should I swap out each media?

    Thanks,
    Jim

I run a Fluval 204 on my FW tank. I clean it out once in a while, usually when the flow seems to slow down. When cleaning I only rinse the sponges with luke warm water. I've never replaced any of the media.

Thanks! That gives me a good guideline for what to do.
