    All,
I have a new Spec 5 by Fluval sitting on my desk up and running.

I simply want to put some inverts in it and nothing else. I'm looking for a low bio-load but want some little peaceful critters churning about.

Initially I considered getting 3-5 Sexy Shrimp and a handful of small snails.

    Thoughts? Other ideas?

    Thanks.

Most inverts don't produce a notable bioload.

Sexy shrimp are a good idea.

Could do a maxi-mini or ricordea garden.

A whole bunch of fancy feather dusters would be cool too IMO.

Bumble Bee shrimp are pretty cool and underrated, not to mention reef safe.

The other types of shrimp that also are symbionts with anemones are cool, such as the venus shrimp.

    Need anymore ideas? :p

Could the pom pom crab, sexy shrimp & bumblebee shimp all live together? I would assume the two shrimp would be fine but some crabs can be... well crabs.

Could do a porcelain anemone crab with a small anemone.

If you want snails, could do some cowries or bubble shells..... something a bit different.

Would love to do an anemone but I think that would push my bio-load where I don't want it.

I'm thinking I'll end up with a mix of several types of community shrimp that can all co-exist, keep the tank clean and de-stress me when I look at it.

really intrigued by the pom pom crabs if they won't harass my shrimp.

Especially if you don't spot feed it (its not necessary either).

You could do one if you wanted imo, only challenge is keeping it happy/healthy in that small of a tank where change in any parameters can happen quickly and be much more potent then in a larger tank.
