Foam?!?

    Should foam always be oozing out into the collection cup? Because sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. Or does it just depend.

    Usually it should, but if you have your hands in the tank the oils can cause the skimmer to not function properly. Other things in the water can also make the skimmer stop producing foam.

    It is normal for the foam production to be random. due to the nature of the bio load. load up more foam. load down less production.

    You will see more after feeding and if you have your hands in the water...Other times there will be nothing...

    I was just wondering the same thing! Why after 5 days of foam overflowing the cylinder, that there would be none....I guess the tank is clearing up!
