And now, of course, my LFS gets a Lineatus Male, 4 Ventralis Anthias, and 5 of my, highly sought after to little avail, Pseudoanthias flavoguttatus! Going to be an expensive month! :p

I want this dimension 120 so bad, but can't seem to find a used one and can't afford a new one so looks like I'm building my 90g ... Could be worse I guess... I'll be tagging along with your build!

Just a note of interest to some...the Deep Blue Professional 120 with these dimensions is tempered glass all around, including the bottom. I went with a Marineland version for this reason.

    UPDATE:

Tank is in. Picking her up tomorrow. I will be plumbing and doing all the finishing touches over the next couple of weeks. Work schedule is brutal right now...hopefully this will be wet in early May.

Also got some other goodies in:

All the black acrylic for the overflow I'll be constructing, holesaws, bulkheads, misc. plumbing items, a nice stout beverage...everything needed to fill the new tank up. :)

Update today. I am slowly putting this all together. I picked up the tank on Saturday. This update will be pic heavy.

I put together the outside overflow box, gluing with Weld-On #4. I might use the thicker gel Weld-On before I fill it as this box has to be water tight!

I then built the inside overflow box. The two will be connected with two 2" bulkheads. The outside box has three 1" lines, with the middle only being utilized if one of the other two 1" lines fail.

I then took to the task of drilling the new tank! Some might think this is scary, but rest assured, it is really quite simple as long as you are careful.

30 minutes of slow speed drilling with a 75mm diamond hole saw, and viola. I then attached the two overflow boxes together, leveled, and tightened.

And finally, attached the tops of the overflow boxes so critters stay out, and light does not cause algae to grow...possibly clogging lines.

I filled the outside overflow with water up to the two 1" 90* drains...leak testing. :p

I won't be home for the next 2 weeks, so it's looking like early May when I will do my full switch. Until then, the 120 stays in the garage. :-/

I like that style of overflow. If I ever get around to another tank, this will be the way to go...
