FoD's SPS/NPS Wonderland - R.I.P.

Update-

I have kept the EcoBak pellets online. I rebuilt this POS CAD Pellet Reactor (AGAIN!), and hard plumbed my Mag7 in with different fittings. Seems to be much better tumbling action now. Nutrients have ben reduced to non-existent again. Bubble algae has receded. GHA has sprung up now...but isn't spreading. Just some random tufts. Had a small Alk variance a few weeks back, and lost a couple of frags. Stable now, and have been doing tiny water changes over the last 3 weeks. Getting some Red Sea Salt soon so I can have a proper mix, and can do my normal maintenance schedule again.

ZeoVit dosing:

I have been dosing some Zeo products recently. I am doing a hybrid tank of sorts with Bio-Pellets being my nutrient reduction source, and ZeoVit being my SPS supplement source. I have been dosing ZeoBak, ZeoFood, Phol's Xtra, and Coral Vitalizer. Polyp extension is much better now. Colors are more vibrant, and I am getting growth now! I will keep up with this regiment of dosing until it stops working.

ZeoBak - 3 drops, 2x weekly
ZeoFood - 4 drops, 2x weekly
Pohl's Xtra - 1.5ml daily
Coral Vitalizer - 2 drops daily (recent addition, working up to 4 drops daily)

EDIT:

I should also note that I am still dosing Red Sea Colors A, B, C and D as well.

A - 1ml weekly
B - 6ml weekly
C - 30ml 2x weekly
D - 5ml daily

Day 59 of Zeo Dosing-

Growth has increased. Still not getting pastel coloration. Wondering if the zeolite media is necessary for this, or if other elements are needed. I have continued to dose the same products. I switched to Red Sea Salt (not Coral Pro), and my batch tested out @ 7.6 dKh! Yeah!!! No more 12+ with Coral Pro or Reef Crystals! I can now do full water changes all in one day! Big thanks to Chris (dowtish) for the recommendation!

New build is in the planning stages. I have decided to stay at my current house, so a big boy tank is on the way! Once I get another pro to come by and shoot some pics, I'll update with comparison shots.

 

Awesome, lets get the new one set up! I sometimes really wish that we were all close..

Anyhow, Ive heard/read about high alk issue in ULNS tanks with certain salt mix. People use muriatic acid to lower it. I keep my alk 7.3 at the most.
