You could just add this to the same thread you already started....

But this is aptaisia and you should remove it. They will take over.

Some LFS sell them. To me, that is a sign the LFS is only out for your money. I wouldn't shop there.

yep. get it out. read up on ways to rid your tank of them tho, cause manual removal will only make them spread.

When I saw the title of this post I knew right away--baby brown anemones are never good. If it is Aiptasia, you can use one of several chemical products like Joe's Juice or Aiptasia X. Or you can go biological and purchase Berghia Nudibranchs or a Copperband Butterfly fish. I have tried Joe's Juice and Berghia personally. I hate the juice and love the nudibranchs. I have Berghs in my tank right now, and they are decimating the Aiptasia pop.

Try doing a search of the forums here. There is a lot of info available. My reccomendations are based out of personal experience and first-hand observations. However, others have had success using other routes so doing more research will definitely leave you better equipped to take on this problem.

not exactly, i had seen a few LFS a few months ago raising pest aptasia like these for Berghia Nudibranchs, only thing they eat actually. So if they do sell just aptasia i would hope that would be the purpose.

I wouldnt get a Berghai nudi...unless your tank is just full of them you are just subjecting it to die as like the previous poster said, that is the only thing that they eat.

I use a kalk paste and just place it on the aptasia....they shrivel up immediately.

Mine won't die. I am going to give them to a friend who has an Aiptasia problem. Then we will sell them back to the LFS. It is hard for me to understand why so many people are so against using Berghia. They destroy the problem and pose no risk to your livestock unless you put in too many and then let them die.
