Has the font or boldness of unread threads changed?

I installed Office 2011 on my system today, and now the unread threads look different.

Is this a coincidence, some background 3reef alteration, or am I imagining things?

Must be your system, mine looks the same as always. Of course, I've changed my background to black (easier on the eyes), so I don't know what the standard background looks like now.

I'm thinking the change to your system too.

Same here... I see no difference. FWIW, the one thing I've always loathed about MS Works/Office is that it's programmed to make changes to other system components, including IE, during installation. :-/

Today my newly installed MS Office for Mac updated to v14.2.

It prompted me to close Safari so the update could complete!

Now, this really annoys the hell out of me. I am absolutely positive Safari works just fine without Office modifying it.

I ONLY bought MS Office because my professors won't accept homework in iWork format. The installer never gave the option of telling Office not to muck with native Lion Apps. I assume Office just modified Lion across the board. Not Cool.

So to answer my own question, I'm pretty sure Office is causing the unread threads to look different.
