    Imsure if its a large enough shrimp in a small enough tank there is a chance it could break glass and jump on your face like that!!! Mopst certainly it would spear your eyes and t hen go for the carotids for certain death!

    The ones with spears aren't the ones breaking glass, it's the ones with hammers. The Peacock Mantis Shrimp (most common in aquaria) has 2 hammers as rapitoral appendages. The spearers generally spear soft bodied shrimp and fish. While the hammer-ers enjoy hard bodied crustaceans.
