For use of water, is a dehumidifier ok?

    So, wouldn't the water you get from a dehumidifier still be ok for my saltwater tank? I'm not sure

    I would say no, what metals are the coils made with? I would think it would be full of TDS. Do you have a hand held TDS meter?

    The tds are quite low from a dehumidifier I have read out the water before but can't remember exactly what it read

    well, apart from tds, it would be a very pure form of water for a salt water tank, correct?

    No, as it will contain any contaminants found in the air. Apart from TDS, you would need to know exactly what those contaminants are. Keep in mind, as well, that not all contaminants are measured by the TDS meter.

    The coils are made of metal, most likely something we don't want in the tank. Anything that is in the air will be in that water, not good for the tank.
