It very well could have been a PH swing that did it. It is hard to tell. I have no way to test for it anymore.

I have 4 powerheads in the DT. I really don't think it was lack of O2. Everyone of my fish were breathing just fine this morning. Responded to food immediately.

Everything tests just fine. Nothing, absolutely nothing showing.
Temp is all I can think of. I never actually checked the temp until this morning after I woke up. I worked till 2am replumbing to get my temp pump up and running. I guess there just wasn't enough flow to warm the DT.

Strange. Hopefully you get it all worked out. Thats the one thing I look at constantly everytime I walk past the tank is my temp. I use a digital and just leave it on.

I am gone quite a bit for the military and work. I have been considering a RKE or Apex. I am really thinking that the Email capability would have save me a ton of trouble, and money for that matter.

Hopefully most of it bounces back.

I run one in my sump, and 1 in my DT, way in back just in case, but I doubt it was the temp to 75 for a few hours that did any harm.

I still think it is RTN...(rapid tissue necrosis) All the LFS in the area have recently had problems with RTN and I have seen very large numbers of SPS get wiped out in a matter of days or two. I even saw LPS get affected

The only other thing I could possibly think of is kH swing. I lost a large pokerstar monti recently because of kH dropping to 4. HOWEVER, I did note that it was not as bright for a day or two prior to it completely turning white.

I have a feeling it is RTN as well.

That seems to happen more in winter it seems from my experience.

I have had RTN on a few pieces before. This doesn't seem to fit. The corals that are white still have color on them right next to the polyps. Some of the polyps are even starting to come out. There seems to be tissue, it is just white. Weird, I know.
