For you whom run heaters in sump!!!!!!

    I came home yesterday to my heater stuck on (87 F) and a tank full of unhappy creatures.I really don't trust any of my heaters.

    Sorry to hear that - however, 75 degrees would not harm any living coral on the planet. Indeed, you could keep probably most corals at 72 long term without a problem. I have dipped to 68-70 when unplugging my tank overnight (mother in law couldn't take the noise!). I think something else is going on.

    I have been burned before! Lost some nice corals. Keep a thermometer in the sump and the tank - check them regularly and replace the heater every two years.
