Hey i can post some construction pics if you want, later tonight. I am still not sure if i will need it cause my bio load will be really low for this tank. But if i see i need to start using it, i plan on putting it in the return section of my sump.

Looks very nice! I love the stand. Are you still thinking you'll paint it white? I think a nice natural stain would be very good. I tend to like lighter wood. I'm wondering if you're doing a lot of work under the tank and above for that matter that white may be a little tougher to keep clean? Just a thought....I was quite impressed with the deals you've gotten! Especially on those lights, that was a great deal!

    3 weekends so far! thanks.

    much appreciated

I was thinking about doing a natural stain but i think i might do an off white, like an almond color. I actually opted against white for that very reason. I have until the weekend to decide between paint and a natural finish. And yeah if it weren't for these sweet deals none of this would have been possible. I have easily saved close to $1000 thanks to Craigslist.

Made Some Progress! 3 coats of paint (rustoleum: exterior grade, almond color). And 3 coats of poly for the inside. All I have left to do is silicone the cracks on the inside to make it 100% water tight, and drill some holes for air movement, electrical, plumbing.

Looks nice......I see you spared no expense for the 3/4 inch ply. That stuff is solid. Nice looking stand for sure. Keep the pics coming : )

My father has been very anxious about having a large system in the house... he is only used to my 20 gal. So he has been insisting i take every precaution, such as hard plumbing, many leak tests, and of course a very beefy stand. But i definitely appreciate his help and concern. Thanks for the kind words, I will be setting this thing up soon and of course pics will follow close behind!
