ok so eerrr here is my new tank. i bought it off of fleabay, for under £100 about 7 weeks ago.its a rena 4foot tank(about 250litres)c/w stand. decided to up the volume so got it drilled.1" flow and 3/4" return. by a very big bit of luck, i got the 4chamber sump from my lfs. its actually a betta lifespace sump!got this for £60 notes which was a steal!!
the biggest job really was the reinforcing of the cabinet.the cabinet was the usual type with a shelf in middle and doors at the ends.uprights had to go to make way for the sump as you maybe able to tell.ended up using 2.5"x1.5" and making as many triangles as possible.!!

i then moved one of the chambers in the sump, just so i could get some lights and mangroves in there(a mini refugium),which ive got to say grow at a shocking rate(any tips on fragging them appreciated!!)lol.

another hurdle was the middle of the cabinet/stand. i first managed to get some similair wood to match it,but thought i would try another route instead. i actually went to a glass center and bought some black lacobel glass which was surprisingly cheap!!its held on the 3x2 frame snuggly by 4 magnetic strips/catches,similair to what you get for access panels in kitchens etc!!!

at present im still purchasing new corals, about my limit for the fish now
i used the sand rock etc from my old tank, but used 50% water from old tank and 50% natural sea water.the total volume of water is roughly 340 litres.
the last picture is as it is now and i plan to take fornightly pics as it progresses...let me know what you guys think, even if you think its naff!!!lol;D
