The crack is in the middle of a 20g long sump/fuge. It goes all the way through and it is leaking water. I am going to drain it and remove it now.

Question: How long can I go without it (fuge, skimmer, carbon ect.)?

I'm sure your tank can go for a couple of days maybe even weeks without the sump. Just make sure the water is heated and its circulating and it should be fine. I've ran my tank for a little more than a week because my DIY overflow was leaking, so you should be fine. Good luck! :)

I got the heater in the dt and the fuge contents into a 5g bucket with the light over top. Will my fuge survive in the bucket? Starting to drain all of the water and will then remove the sump. How the HELL did I get this thing under the stand!

What consist in your fuge? As long as it has a heater and circulating water also it should be fine. Just relax. Whenever I'm stressing over something and try to do something quick, I usually screw up and remember the key to this hobby; patience.

After removing everything, I noticed my baffles with extremely tight, too tight! The baffles would have put a lot of stress on the sides of the 20g long and caused the crack.

I had a descent sand bed, some live rock and chaeto in my fuge. I have a PH in the bucket with a heater and my light over top. I should be good for a while.

I set up a ten gallon to run my skimmer, carbon reactor and mag 5. Until a figure what to do for the long run I am ok.

    Thanks.

My tank has been running fine for 3 months without my fuge in the loop. I just have to keep up with water changes now to remove DO and bad stuff the chaeto would normally eat up. I also moved my skimmer up to my DT, since I have a Hang On skimmer.
I had a leak in my fuge as well and am in the process of making a new one. I feel your pain, it sucks. But your tank will be ok as long as your step up your manual cleanup/maintenance.
