i found a lfs about 45 min from my house. they have a nice set up very big and clean. so i was talkn to the guy and he seemed to know his stuff i talked to him about cepholopods stomatopods and they had a nautalus (sp) there he said for ever. they had a coris wrasse and a pearlscale butterfly there and he gave me the 2 of them for cheap $25 for the 2.... we went over my entire set up with him its a reef tank including a ornamental shrimps and a clam. what do i do. i called him and he says hes sorry but he cannot accept returns.

Wow! What a class act he sounds like. Stand outside with a sign that says: WILL DESTROY YOUR TANK AND TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR DOING IT, until he takes them back. Then stand out there with your sign anyway.

Just to be sure I have this strait though, he knew you had a reef and sold you them anyway?

im pretty sure the pearlscale is definitely not reef safe. they have them at my lfs , and was told they wouldnt do good in my tank. i might be wrong . and it would be the last time i went to that lfs if they dont have good knowledge or wont accept bad purchases . even for store credit.

Do you have a sump you can put them in? Even if it's cramped until you can find something better, It's better than loosing coral and clams.

Personally if it were me I would flush them if I had to, so don't feel to bad if it comes to that.

his fish all looked healthy so i took his word and keeping a nautilus is pretty tough in my book so i figured he knew what he was doing... the bfly i think will leave the corals alone but the clams another story

I don't want to involve the forum in this, but what happens to be the name of this store?

Send it to my email: mike.tusa@gmail.com

I think it's time this stuff stops going un-noticed.
