I think clear would actually help to create some strange and possible scary looking optical illusions for a fish. IMO best to use a plain colored solid container they can easily see and identify as just an object. Let it sit in there for a bit so they can get used to it.

I dont get it . . . you diddn't get burned you impulsively bought a couple fish without knowing anything about them I.E huge mistake on your part. I realize the store was kinda far from you, but its no excuse for taking the guy at the store's word over your own homework.

I dont know what every single fish is at every shop around me, but it helps to know that big wrasses and butterflys are generally not a good idea to let loose on your reef tank. That said, it is a little odd that they wont take even a partial return for store credit, but somewhat understandable if there taking losses from wholesalers. IMO this is one of those hard lessons you kinda have to learn first hand and hopefully take from it something useful.

i aagree it was partially my fault and i did not know the coris wrasse got big he just ssaid he would stay small. but im ticked he flat ouot lied to me about this stuff.

 

update ... came home to one empty clam shell afew hermit bodys rolling around the sand like tumble weeds. also my cleaner wrasse is mia (could be sleeping lights were off) coris wrasse mia could be burried i guess ... i gave up trying to catch the fish bc i have work in like 3 hrs nd i need to sleep so i collected all my frags and put them in a nett in the tank. oh and my refugium return decided to stop working again so i cant puut anything in there ill hafta take care of everything thurs am i guess i hope things stabilize untill then :/ thanks to all those who have been helping me especially you mike.

 

ok update i stopped home between jobs to check on my tank bc i was freaking out all day at work.corals are ok most are in nets though. the cleaner shrimp is ok and i dont see anymore inverts harmed. the bfly is well and swimming around. the cleaner wrasse is alive and well. but the coris wrasse is MIA still, they do burrow though. my tank is about 90% jump proof there is about a 2 inch gap at the back of the tank. hopefully ill be able to catch them tmo afternoon and try to return them

lol a friend recommended bleach in the tank lol but im not out to kill fish mabe let tthe air outa his tires lol jkjk its not the fishes fault hes a jerk.... ill be going there after i go with my friend to get her very first octopus
