As much as I agree (and please note me agreeing is with ZERO experience) that there are things you shouldnt skimp on, there comes a time in the hobby when you save some money to invest bigger later. If you already have good flow and want to try better, why spend the big money if i doesnt work. You will lose a lot when you sell it if it isnt what you are wanting or doesnt work for what you want it for

I have bought these before same exact ones, they do work but are not efficent and I definatly dont think they would work on a wave maker.

they are cheep and do move water just not as efficent as I would have like them to. the suction cups also dont worth a crap. save up and buy a better unit they have used korlines on ebay cheeper than new and most of teh time work just as well.

What do you mean by efficient? Power consumption or just actual flow...? The one my friend has seems to be about 800gph and it's only 6 watts.

One thing to watch out for if you do get them is if it's meant for european or american outlets. I don't know why they make the auctions for euro ones able to be seen in the US with that kind of stuff, as it can be annoying to find one meant for here in the list of items.

as far as efficent I just felt like the one I got got really warm and did not push as much water as I would have liked it to for a powerhead that size. the powerhead works but compared to a korlina powerhead it apples to bananas both are fruit but are completely diffrent. I had the 800 GPH and teh suction cups were really my only gripe they just didnt hold I would have prefered teh magnet base ones.

as far as power comsumption I have no idea I never looked at it, never been an issue to me.

buy the hydors, the cheap pumps are nothing but paper weights. Unless thats what you need them for, then I would suggest a big rock.

The Evolutions are dsigned for wavemakers and if they break they replace the broken parts no questions asked. I had over 2.3 million starts and stops on a pair that I finally replaced after or two years of switching every 30 seconds on a RKL. The only reason I replaced them was normal impeller wear.
