    I've had them in my tank over a year and even when I am handling the rocks or moving things about I have never gotten hurt by them. And bristleworm is not the same as fireworm. The fireworms' bristles will irritate your skin the bristleworm will not. But you can't really tell them apart

    Personally, I think that they are pretty harmless, and since they clean out the rocks/sand I would keep them.
    But if you really want to get rid of them arrow crabs and six-line wrasses will eat them. You can also buy traps for them.
    I am a definite fan of them though.
