I have been racking my brain (whats there anyways) and I keep going back and forth. I've found this fixture I like it alot but will it produce the results I'm looking for I know I want to keep lps and sofies. I'm not going to do any sps anytime but, I maybe way down the road would like a rose bubble tip. My setup is a 90 gallon marineland cornerflo. thanks!

    My input..

    NO

If your going to spend that kind of money, (god I feel like a broken record sorry..)
Buy an AI SOL!!!! Always go with the Tried and True, not something you discovered all alone.
Too many people on here are asking if what they bought was good, and then they get upset, when they find out its crap, IMO, do your homework, ask questions (like your doing ;)) and take it from people who know. LEDs are outstanding, but some are crap!
If you have 300-500 bucks burning a hole in your pocket put it in the right product.

Not much power and doesn't mention optics. May be okay for LPS and Softies though. I am not familiar with the company. For less expensive LEDs, I have a Reef Koi Evolution. It isn't a bad fixture for the money anyways. Certainly has done fine over my frag tank. Nothing fancy though. I think they did add optics now, just 90deg, but should have a bit more punch. A single 150W or 200W would probably be okay. I'd go with 200 though, you can always dim it.

The Apollo LEDs also look decent for a budget, but without dimming, they may be too much for LPS and softies and I think dimming on them gets pricey. You could probably get away with two AI SOL Blues, but again, that would be a bit more. Definitely more capability though with effects.

yeah, but like I said, at least you already know they work. what do you really know about these lights you've found? also a good DIY kit might be better suited to your needs for a bigger tank, and you'll get what you need with them and no less

Wow that is a nice unit. Where do you find them at? I like the dimmable knobs.

the nice thing about DIY is that you can get the colors you want and dimming options, etc. to fit your needs and your budget more often the not. if you are strongly considerring leds, message Martin at ModularLED.ca, or RapidLED for some options and quotes, both are great companies, very nice to deal with.

Actually Nano responded to me with a similar situation earlier in the week..lol. Actually, you would need 3 sols according to the person I talked with. Me actually suggested 4 but said I could get away with 3. I am still debating the issue in my head.
