    This ?? had been in the same place for about 3 months, about three weeks ago it moved, and I haven't seen it sense. Can anyone tell me what it is?

    To funny but i agree..!!! hahahaha


    Next time you find it and if you can remove rock and QT in a bucket of salt water to see if it will come out... And if there is no corals and things to worry about Dunk in RODI it will then come out...

    Keep in mind Just a Idea...

    Thanks for the feedback... I didn't mention it in the first post, but it does open and close... The V shaped area towards the top is open in the picture, but it would close if startled (fish too close, shining light to quickly onto it) It was very strange, it never seemed to bother anything.

    it is definitely some type of bivalve or a similar creature... where did the rock originally come from?

    It's an Ark Clam. They sometimes attach, but can crawl, and will relocate if necessary. There are several similar species, and you'd have to remove it to get a species-level ID on it. None of them are harmful.

    It's probably in the genus Arca:

    I was gonna say the same thing. It's a clam. Funny I had one piss at me when I pulled the rock out of the water. Too funny!;D
