picking up my 96 gallon tank, thursday. one of the fish in the tank is a fox face. i want to put him in my 210gal reef, but want to make sure he's safe.

i'm aware they are poisonous, so i'm a little afraid, since i am still adding corals.

there is also an adult emperor angel, another angel, purple wrasse, HUGE tomatoe clown(at least5in, in hight and length), 2 manderines(that eat brine!!), a HUGE unicorn tang(got to be 7 in), a skunk clown, 3 lg chromises, and i think thats it.

seems to me thats a lot of fish for a 96 gallon tank. i'm planning on a fish only, with live rock. my plan is to move some of my smaller fish from the 210, to the 96, and put the unicorn, clown(may get rid of him), and fox face, along with one of the manderines, in the 210. not sure about the wrasse, don't know if he will kill my shrimp, or get along with the fairey i already have?

    any help would be appreciated.

do you think i can get a trigger for the 96? will he kill my other fish?

do you think a unicorn tang that size is too large for the 210? i've got a clown tang in there, now. he's about 3in, i could move him to the 96, also?

A fox face is no more poisonous then a Bee sting :) I just had mine to poke me the other week when I was feeding them he ran up and bamm It stings a bit thats about all I can say .

As for the angels ? Not in a reef as a rule unless one is a Pygmy angle ? and the chromis if you like them they are fine I'm just not a fan boring fish unless its the Hawaiian type they are beautiful fish. But the Blues Its O.K to keep them the
The Tomato Clown ??? They Get large and not really that much to look at and again unless you like it ?

The Unicorn is fine as are the Mandarin's With wrasses ? you have to know what one you have ! Could be Lunar wrasse or a equal type terror ? All wrasses are not reef fish.. My son in law found that out the hard way ONCE! LOL
As for a trigger ? Not a good idea a messy fish eats a lot and all that goes in comes out.. I'd not trust one I have had the so called reef safe black trigger to go ballistic on a few reefs of friends . I'd never trust one . But I have never been the lucky type :)

the trigger i want is a clown trigger. i plan on putting him in the 96gal, which will not be a reef. just fish, and live rock.

in the 96, i plan on putting my black, and my orange percular mated pair, i'm gonna leave the emperor and the other angel, along with the manderine, and i wanted to get the trigger.

i plan on putting the fox face, unicorn tang, and the tomatoe clown(not sure about this),in my 210 reef.

the purple wrasse is going to my one buddy, and one of the two manderines are going to my other buddy, both of whom are helping me move and set up the tank.

I never had a problem with my FF until now. I havent caught him with his hands in the cookie jar, But have been reading that they will nip at some corals if under feed.
