Looking to add a foxface fish to the tank, 120g reef tank...tank mates would be a niger trigger, tomini tang, yellow tang, six line, clown fish, watanabe angel. The only fish that would be bigger probably would be the angel compared to the foxface. Just looking to hear about peoples experience with these fish.

i would say your about set with your fish, you could possibly add another if it was a smaller one. 4 fish that reach at least 7-8 inches in a 120 is a bit overstocked.

They are very timid but hardy fish, it will likely hide for awhile and flash alot when approached by your more aggressive fish. Beware the dorsal spines they are venonmous and can give quite a sting do not handle with a net they do try and jump out of it. HTH

+1 on the timid comment. Mine was always very shy during the day, normally hanging out under a ledge until feeding time, then back to the ledge. When the lights went out, it was a different story. He would perch all over the rockscape like he's owned it for years! It was very cool to watch, too. In the night, he would become very pale, almost whitish, and a leopard pattern of black spots would appear all over his body. Sadly, he passed away a few weeks ago. No signs of stress or illness, just a passing. I got him about 3 or 4 years ago and he was already an adult then, so I can't speak to their lifespan, but he was a very cool fish. I'd definitely consider adding another one in the future. As for the spines, yes they're venomous, but my foxface was so shy, he'd much rather swim away than confront anything.

Personally, I'd say you'd be fine. Maybe an FTS pic would help in the determination, but from what you posted, I'd add it.

You should be fine. BTW, what kind of foxface are you looking to add?

its not reccomended that you keep one large fish in a tank that short let alone four. i would not add it you are at your max imo.
