I added a lemon peel a while back and they fought for about 2 days then got along fine. I ended up getting rid of the lemon because he was eating my toadstool. So hopefully the powder will survive this and get along with the ff.

The best advise I can give is shut the lights out, completely rearrange the rock to your best ability and wait til morning and turn it back on. You can also try placing a mirror against the glass, the powder will probably try to beat his own reflection up instead. Worked on a yellow tang i had

Well my powder and foxface now swim together. No fighting or anything. The powder did get stung a few times but never bothered him. I read some where online that tangs can handle the sting. So I assume this is true or either he never got hit with the venom one. They act like friends now. :)

Its like the old story bully beats up on kids til the one kid fights back and the bully aint a bully no more.... Glad to hear things are going well. I had a horrible time getting my purple and yellow tang to be friends.

My powder blue is also extremely aggressive towards new fish. What i do is place a net in the corner of the tank (net side down :) ). my pbt won't go near anything man-made that is newly added to the tank for at least a couple of days. The new fish figures out that this is a safe place and hangs out near the net. this gives the new fish a place to run back to when needed since the pbt can be relentless. this allows the pbt to see the fish without being able to get to it. After a couple of days the pbt sees it as an established fish and leaves it alone allowing me to remove the net. so far this has worked for me. however, i have not tried this method with adding another tang. i doubt a new tang would get off that easy. especially since the desjardini would probably jump on it too.
