I have a Q for Foxface owners. My FF does something that is weird and was wondering if Im not along. My FF "likes" to "bite" at the waters surface making a biting noise. My tank has plenty of O2 so I dont think its that. Was wondering if anyone else has seen the same thing. Luna

Luna, I've had these fish for years and never had them do anything like that, but I have had other fish that would do that. One was an angel and the other was a Tang.

Think that some fish are just "special" and either see thier reflecion or, are trying to eat air bubbles. Both times I just change where the return pumps were pointing and they eventually stopped. Both cases were different too, the first there was a lot of surface agitation and the second I switched to more surface movement.

Yeah, I dont get it. I have 2 tangs that dont go anywhere near the surface, only at feeding time. I have checked my O2 levels and they are fine. Fish(all) are swimming and not gasping for air. I just find it wierd. Luna

Mine does exactly the same thing, and always in the same corner.I first thought it was at a line of algae under the top trim, where the mag cleaner cant' reach.Still have no idea to this day...but it makes me laugh :)
