Two different times now I have found my One Spot Foxface stuck to the intake slats of my overflow. Further, he is darken in color and looks like he has been dead for hours.

This was the case this morning, I used my snail flipper stick to check him and he moved, but stayed stuck to the intake slat. The suction in not that strong that he is getting stuck, just seems to sleep like that.

As soon as the lights started cycling on an hour ago, he is now back to normal color, swimming and eating and hanging out with the Wrasse.

Is this normal for these fish??

    Thanks!

It is normal for them to change to a blotchy dark color after lights out or if stressed or frightened.Usually they will try and blend in with rockwork at night, maybe yours just likes your overflow.

My Foxface's color fades out and looks dead a night when he sleeps, but he never goes near my overflow box hes usually in the corner behind a rock.

The overflow part is a bit strange...but the color fading behavior is very normal.

    Thanks for the input!
I figured he had to be that type of fish.
Rather cool fish, except I will not know when he dies until I see the crabs eating him...

Got some shots of him earlier while I was frag mounting and he went into hiding, the two pics were taken 20 minutes apart.

That is very cool with the camouflage but I think the fish looks very skinny.....not healthy IMO
