Frag Disc or No Frag Disc

    Now that I have my first few pieces of coral in my tank the question is. Do I leaving them on the disc or remove and attach them directly to LR. So far I have GSP, Zoa's and Ricordea.

    That is you decision on how you like the looks of the frag disc. If you decide to attach with or without the disc, gel superglue works best but should be used out of the water then just put the rock back in place.

    What I do is cut off as much of the disk as I can than glue the disk to the rock. All of those corals will cover the frag disk in no time so you won't see it.

    I leave mine on the disk....either the coral tissue will grow over or coraline will cover it and it will look like part of your LR

    frag discs are fine to leave and just glue the disk to a rock, it will encrust over.

    Frag plugs are always tough for me because there is never a perfect hole for it to sit right in the rock.
