I have some SPS frags and some glues. The glues areall purpose adhesive household welder and regular super glue? Which one should i use, Im planning on attatching my monti to the overflow box. so it will be in the water. Should i drain the water to the point to where im gluing it, maybe a little lower?

super glue gel or some stuff called "reef glue" which is essentially the same thing from what I can tell just more expensive.

If you use superglue GEL, you can use it underwater.

NEITHER! go to Menard's or Lowe's and get some loctite super glue Gel, comes in a tube and costs about 2.50, its what all frag glues are made of but its available locally, not necessarily cheaper though, and yes it can be used underwater.

If your gluing something like frogspawn or hammer with a dead base you can use epoxy putty, comes in grey at the same stores. its the same stuff you pay up to 10 bucks for from some reef supply houses.

I wouldn't use it unless it's a cyanoacrylate gel personally. Not worth the risk. Super glue gel is cheap and easy to find and is very tried and true. Using anything else is risky IMO unless it's been thoroughly tested in a reef setting.
