    Ok thanks so why do you have to do that. I understand the acclimate part to the tank but why diff levels. Is it because they were in shallow water and now it will be deep?

    deeper in the tank the light is not as strong, so everytime you move it up its a new level of lighting and it needs to adjust to that level.
