Ok so Im gonna put a Frag tank in my office. I made the tank 24"x24"x12" I also made a built in corner overflow with a 1.5" drain and a 3/4" return. Next I made a small sump/refuge for it. 20"x10"x12" about 15 gallons. I plan on making it a dry bottom frag tank (no sand) and will put some live rock all around the perimeter of the tank. I will cut some more acrylic and make some frag shelves and one big bottom a few inches off the bottom.

For the sump I will have the overflow drain 75% into the skimmer compartment I will use my CPR bak pak BOB skimmmer, water will flow through the baffle into the return pump area (center of sump) the other 25% will flow into the refuge, I plan on adding some live and a live rock and some alage in that part. Notice the baffle has the teeth for the refuge area....

So the questions are does this setup look like it will work ok?
What type of return pump would I need?

I'd like to build a larger sump/fuge then the one I have. Where did you learn to do that?

These are the first 2 things I have built out of acrylic. I learned by spending way to man hours reading on the Inet. Luckily I have a laser at my work. I simply cut out some templates then used the templates to route some more acrylic so it had a perfect edge. Then glued it all up. That's the hard part.

Flame hawk? Damn eagle eye LOL

Finished staining and started to do some dry plumbing. It's about 90% done. Just keeping it real simple (since that is all I know anyways LOL ) Any opinions? For the main drain that will flow into the tank not the refuge should I run it throuhg a filter sock? Id reather not have to deal with the cleaning. Ive also seen people run it down almost to the bottom and then make a u.....
