frag tank lighting

    ok so im planning on making a frag tank the is 8'' high by 24'' long by 13'' wide. what kind of light fixture would be sufficient enough to grow SPS corals? also, it will most likly be made out of lexan plexi, what kind of reef safe silicone do i use?

    The tank will be made of lexan, that's fine, but I'm hoping the silicone is not meant for joining the seams of the tank.

    On my 40 breeder frag tank, I use a 250w MH spider reflector.

    No silicone. Order some Weld-On #4, use the instructions here, and practice beforehand.

    Sorry for non-3Reef link, but I don't know of a thread here that explains it that well.

    where do i get weld on, home depot or lowes? i looked at melevs thread and you use like a siringe to do it i think

    A 4x24w T5HO would work for lighting.

    just curious.. are you going to tie this frag tank into your running system? if not what live stock are you going to have in the frag tank?

    not really sure maybe green chromis or somthing, what do you suggest?
