    Just founf this thread. Let my seven year old read it. He likes the idea of his own tank but wants to think about it. Not sure if he wants his own yet "after all dad I can look at yours and don't have to do much but help you once in a while" Smart kid.

    Tank looks great. You have done a great job as a parent. You should be proud.

    How do you like the Red Sea Pro salt? I have been using it since I put up my 180. Have tried other brands once or twice but always go back to Red Sea. Keeps the mag and calcium levels close to perfecr for me.

    again nice job with the tank and teaching responsibility at a young age.

    Thanks for the kind comments everyone.
    Haven't tested mag levels yet but the calcium and alk seem to be doing fine. We will see in the long run how the salt keeps up.

    Tanks been doing great. weekly 2 gallon water changes seem to be taking care of levels perfectly.
    Added this YWG about 3 weeks ago.
    My daughter named him "Grandpa"
