    what equipment are everyone using for their frag tank? i'm planning a 10G or 20G long frag tank and i was thinking live rock on the bare bottom aquarium, and then use egg crates to set up another level to place frags on with a light.. bare bottom with no sand, do i need skimmer? I will have powerhead

    if there are no fish you probably won't need a skimmer unless your lr has a lot of detritus on it. but you must do water changes with no skimmer, you have to do them any way for elements for the corals anyway.
