I have a stalk of Candy Cane with several branches and about 25 head's,
Are the branches easy to snap off or do I need to use a tool to cut them with. I want to take each branch and place it in holes on the same rock. I think it would look better and not so bunched up. How do I frag them? Is it fairly easy?
    thnx

the article above with pictures is a very good one and the techique equally applies to candy canes

as the stems may not be as firm, you may get away with using decent snips
a bone cutter is also an ideal tool if you do not have a Dremmel

Definitely do not just break off a head, just a cutting tool or you will risk splitting the skeleton and killing the polyp.

So the skeleton or branches are hollow or a solid skeleton?
